Women's Center Mural

Project type

Wall Mural (Illustration)

This was an assignment focusing on Kirksville's Northeast Regional Medical Center's Women's Center ward. The main goal here was to refresh the lobby of the Women's Center ward with a flowing, dynamic mural illustration that communicated the ward's purpose: to support, educate, and treat women and their families.

Students were to develop not only the mural design itself, but also communicate directly with the nurses working in the ward at pre-set points in the semester, create mockups of the finished designs in the environment, and give a comprehensive presentation over their designs at the end of the semester. This also included working within specified dimensions for the mural itself while planning how it would exist in the three-dimensional space of the lobby area. The total wall space we had to work with was 60 inches tall and 346.5 inches wide, but I took a ratio from that and worked at a smaller scale for these sketch comps and mockups.

All assets here were developed in Adobe Photoshop, and were created by me.
